Winsor & Newton's Brush Cleaner and Restorer is a non-toxic, biodegradable, non-flammable, non-abrasive, low vapor product used to effectively and safely clean both natural and synthetic brushes from dried acrylic, oil and alkyd colors.  This product will not damage the brush heads.
