Musical Theater Memorabilia in a Red Frame
Is there a better way to preserve a great experience than hanging it on your wall? A client of ours brought memorabilia from a cherished memory of seeing Kinky Boots featuring David Cook at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre and seeing David Cook in concert to us with the goal of preserving the memory through picture framing.
Here, we chose a red frame to accent the playbill, boot necklace and other highlights from the memorabilia. The memories were presented in different ways to create a layered effect. For example:
• Some items, such as the playbill and one of the tickets were mounted directly under the mat.
• The VIP pass and boot necklace, due to the fact that they are 3-dimensional, were shadow boxed below the top mat, each with their own background mats.
• The photographs were mounted with an antique gold filet.
To top it all off, a museum-quality glass was used to allow for clarity and reduce long term fading.
