Oil paintings don't require to be framed behind glass. This allows for the use of float frames!  Here, the artwork is painted on a 1/4 thick board. It is mounted on archival boards to increase the depth and then placed with a dark wood float frame. The frame allows for a space between the artwork and itself and creates a visual depth in this custom framed art.
